In terms of value and location, the studio cannot be beat. It is perfectly central and hugs a fantastic Boulangerie and is around the corner from a huge array of shops, cafe's and bars. Musée D'Orsay, Louvre, Notre Dame, the River Seine are all within 10 minutes walking distance and it is close 2 minutes away from the metro. Note that it is extremely small, likely only room for one person and has no fridge, however with a supermarket close it is really not an issue. Finally, Loïc was very accommodating and always responded swiftly, as well as giving me guiding me to all the hotspots in the 6eme.
This is a gorgeous cozy room in the heart of Paris -- but you must take Loic's description very literally! I loved my stay -- hard to beat waking up next to a bakery in the Latin Quarter with everything close by. Loic is a kind and helpful host. Check in went well, even though I had a late arrival. Please be aware that the shower can be frustrating to use (water gets everywhere, and hot water only lasts 3-5 minutes), the room can get extremely hot (I visited during a heat wave), and that the room is very small (almost no floor space, and easy to hit your head on shelves as you wake up). This is exactly as described in the listing, so I recommend you take Loic at his word! Before I arrived, I was concerned that the toilet would be far away -- but it's actually just two or three steps away. That said, you can't miss this true Paris living experience. Highly recommend.
Loic is a very kind man. The communication was excellent. He responded within minutes every time I sent a message. The room is pretty much what I expected. It is a very very small room, but if you know that going in it's not a big deal. The room is great for a single traveler. The shower is small but works well. There is no sink, but the shower has a faucet so it works. The bathroom is across the hall, but you are the only one that has a key to it. It is private and was very clean. Because the building was built in the 16th century there are not lights in the bathroom but Loic has lanterns for you and the flashlight on your phone is sufficient enough. The area is the absolute best you can possibly find and for the amount you're paying, it's an absolute steal!! It is very safe and is always filled with people. Just around one of the corners is an entire street filled with cafes and the best gelato place you will ever go to! There are many street performers that keep you entertained. All of the surrounding streets lead to something. One you can walk right to the river and another goes to many many clothing stores, cafes, grocery store, etc. when I return to Paris, I will be staying here for sure!!
I had a great stay at Loic's. The location at this price is simply unbeatable. I hardly ever used the metro because I could easily walk everywhere. When I did need the bus/metro it was very close. The building is on a popular street, but once in the apartment, it was nice and quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The separate bathroom, no sink, and small shower were a bit awkward, but the set up was functional. Overall the place was great for the price, I would recommend it!
