Situated on an acre of land that slopes gently downward toward a bluff at the ocean’s edge, the property offers a unique environment perfect for a peaceful and relaxing vacation experience. Enjoy the tranquility of the Zen garden, long walks along the coastline, or simply sit and relax amid the serenity of a shady retreat between lily ponds. The property is fully landscaped with over 100 varieties of flora, including: bamboo, water lilies, fragrant flowers, ornamental vines, succulents, and fruit-bearing trees.
Take a relaxing dip in the Japanese-style soaking tub that spills over into a gorgeous, 42’ long, salt water, infinity edge lap pool. Soak up some sun or recline under an umbrella on a poolside lounge chair overlooking the ocean. The pool deck area includes an outdoor shower with hot water, a barbecue, and food preparation and dining areas.
When conditions are right, the snowy peak of Mauna Kea can be seen from the property, as can whales, dolphins, sea turtles, Nene geese and other species unique to Hawaii. Fishing is a common activity along the bluff.
Accommodations are in a luxurious oceanfront home offering spectacular views. The building contains the owners’ residence and two separate units with identical floor plans. Both the upstairs and downstairs units are spacious apartments that can be rented as either a one- or two-bedroom unit or combined for a three- or four-bedroom rental.

The property is located approximately 18 miles (30 minutes by car) south of Hilo in the Paradise Park subdivision.
This property is located roughly 5-6 miles from what was the leading edge of the Kilauea volcano lava flow (also known as the June 27th flow). The lava flow's most forward lava has been stalled since the beginning of the year with only minor activity occurring miles upslope from the leading edge.

A minimum stay of 3 nights is generally required, but in some time periods the minimum required stay is 5 or 7 nights.
