Our spacious, sunny, comfortable studio with private entrance and bathroom, separated from the rest of the house, is a relaxing sanctuary in the middle of the city. It comfortably fits two & is centrally located in a quiet, residential neighborhood just a few miles from the university and downtown, near a bus stop, bike path, park & various restaurants. Enjoy carport parking, a private walkway/courtyard, beautifully tiled, fully equipped bathroom with walk-in shower, a mini fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, as well as coffee, tea & snacks. You'll also enjoy a shared back yard garden brimming with fruit trees, herbs & flowers.
We offer a large 450 sq feet studio with private entrance and private bathroom. Studio is not connected with the rest of the house. Studio is equipped with the queen size comfortable futon, with new bedding and high quality cotton sheets, comfortable butterfly chair with padded cushion and a foot ottoman, as well as a table with couple of chairs. There is no kitchen or cooking facilities, but there is a mini fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, silverware and dishes available for you to use. We also provide a variety of teas, coffee, sugar and snacks.
Private bathroom has a shower and is equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and necessary amenities, including a hair dryer.
The large closet with shelves and hangers and plenty of room to store your stuff has a stereo connected with built in wall speakers you are welcome to use to play music from your phone or tablets.
The studio has two entry doors. One leads to the covered carport with room for your car under it. You'll use a private walkway/courtyard with a small tiled bench and potted plants to reach the carport through the rustic metal gate. The other entry door will take you to the beautiful back yard/ garden area you'll share with us ( we live on the property). There are various sitting arrangements on the porches. You also are welcome to meditate or just relax and listen to birds singing in our hummingbird garden.
We have a 2 year old lab named Onyx. He is a friendly indoor/outdoor dog who stays in the back yard sometimes (only when we are home). Please let us know if you are not fond or afraid of dogs so we can make sure Onyx doesn't disturb you.
Note: there's no TV or cable in the studio, but there's internet and wifi.

We live on the property and will be available to answer questions, address concerns, either in person or on the phone/text. We enjoy meeting people and talking to them, but we allow our guests to decide how much interaction they'd like.
Tucson is a diverse city in the heart of the Sonoran Desert with rich, multicultural history, influenced by many different cultures inhabiting it and intermingling through the ages. You can find a Franciscan mission on the Yaqui Reservation - San Xavier Mission, Mexican barios in the downtown area and people from all over the United States and all over the world, that came here looking for warm weather, sunny days, mild winters, open spaces, beautiful sunsets, especially in the winter and star-filled skies. That diversity is really displayed and celebrated the second weekend of October during Tucson Heritage Festival a.k.a. Tucson Meet Yourself with dozens of international food booths and performances- Polish folk dance group in beautiful costumes, Scottish bagpipers, Hawaiian, Chinese, Korean and lively German dancers wearing lederhosen and many more.
Tucson is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains with many hiking and biking trails, snow in the winter on higher elevations (there is a ski lift on Mount Lemon), various cacti on lower, including of course majestic saguaro cactus, you'll only find in the Sonoran Desert. To see plants and animals from the Sonoran Desert, visit The Desert Museum on the west side of town, which is more like a botanical garden and the zoo, than a museum.
If you are an aviation enthusiast you can't miss The Pima Air and Space Museum. About 20 min drive to the east gets you to Sabino Canyon recreation area, a popular spot for locals and tourist alike with its many walking and hiking trails, visitor center and tour trams into the canyon. If you drive further south you'll reach Saguaro National Park East, with an 8 mile picturesque loop you can drive, walk or bike.
Not suitable for young children.
