An extraordinary opportunity to live Jamaican. A spacious, airy bedroom with full private bath, beautiful patio and amazing hilltop views located in the bustling village of Montpelier. The people are friendly and relaxed and always eager to share information on their village and country. Attractions near include Rockland Bird Sanctuary and Blue Hole River. Two simple meals following the Rasta diet for a small extra fee of $20/day. We are not suitable for children.
In addition to the uniqueness of staying in an authentic Rastafarian home, you will have the added convenience of airport pick up and drop off for a small fee. As the house is still under construction in the kitchen area, it is recommended, if you want to cook, to ask for help from my partner, Kelly. If you prefer, he will, for a reasonable fee, do all preparations and cooking for your meal. We also have a recently vacated smaller room with shared bath available for rent on a longer term basis (15 to 30 days per month). You will also have access to a private tour service, at a reasonable fee, by a Rasta who knows the geography and history of the whole island. Special events include the music, art and culture of the Maroon Tribe Festival on January 6. We are not suitable for children.
In addition to your spacious room and private bath, you have access to all common areas such as living room, kitchen and patio. For a small fee, two simple meals will be prepared for you morning and evening, with fresh fruit for eating or to be enjoyed as a delicious drink. The evening meal will include fresh fish such as Mahi Mahi and Red Snapper.

With sufficient notice, I will be able to be there during your stay but, even without, my partner will be there 7 days a week. We want to make this a full service guesthouse to make your stay in Jamaica as interesting, fun and carefree as possible. We, also, can make recommendations if you're interested in overnight stays in other cities. We promise to make your stay full of wonderful memories.
You may have "seen" Jamaica before but this will be your chance to "live" Jamaica. There are always activities from strolling some of the world's most beautiful beaches to getting your groove on at the numerous music festivals.
Cultural events, such as the Maroon Festival on January 6, take place throughout the year and you can have a private tour guide so that you can stay as little or as long as you want at each destination. We are not suitable for children.
- Be respectful. Enjoy yourself.
- We try to accommodate all requests. If you would like anything extra, please ask.
I'm a semi-retired single woman who travels frequently. I enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences and adventures. Currently, my favorite destination is Jamaica where I've made good friends and am learning more about the Rastafarian way of life. My surroundings echo my lifestyle. Beyond traveling, I read, watch movies and create art pieces. I'm interested in hosting during the times that I travel.
