Great property on a secluded beach in Sian Kaan Reserve. Would choose it again. If you are looking for the non commercial Riviera Maya this is the place for you. We stayed for 1 week in July 2017, paid approx USD 300 per night. The house is located 19 kilometers south of the Tulum Hotel Zone. This last 19 km are on a dirt road, which at the time took us 45 minutes to drive. This could be a disadvantage but is also the reason why you will not see many people around. The beach is beautiful, small waves, you ll find cristal clear water just 20 meters away from shore. To get to the closest snorkelling site you need to walk 500 meters and then swim approx 400.
Regarding the house you have everything you need, but be aware there is no air conditioning. Every night but one there was a 10 knots onshore wind which was perfect to keep the rooms cool however that is not enough to make it similar to AC conditions. I am not saying this is a problem, just something to consider.
There is a nice BBQ grill and a full kitchen (no micro wave of course). Internet worked perfectly but there is no cell phone coverage.
Beds were made everyday and dishes cleaned.
3 very "respectful" dogs live on property. One night at 3 am one of the dogs came to our room door "crying" and of course woke us up, we didn t pay any attention... On the following morning we found out there was a huge turtle hole right on our beach, if we had walked to the beach when the dog "told" us to we would have seen the turtle leaving its eggs.
Loved Cape Ha, thank you Guy and Aluxa.
