The entire apartment and building was renovated in 2013, so it's quite "new." For those traveling by car, there is plenty of street parking available.
The master bedroom gets beautiful light. There's a very comfortable queen size bed that fits two guests.
The bathroom is modern and gets beautiful light as well and has very good ventilation. The kitchen is modern and also gets beautiful light and faces the street.
The living and dining rooms are furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and antique furnishings. Large TV monitor and excellent audio system at your disposal. CD collection of classical, jazz, world, and R&B music.
My place is located on the 2nd floor, a short and easy walk-up a flight of stairs. It is a pleasant 12-minute stroll on a beautiful tree-lined street, to the subway station which is frequently serviced by express and local lines. Only 15 minutes on the express subway line to Manhattan..

PAST AIRBNB REVIEWS (2012) FOR A 1-BEDROOM APT IN ANOTHER BROOKLYN 'HOOD
Danish couple from Copenhagen
“My girlfriend and I had the best stay at Jerrys place! The cosy apartment is close to a Manhatten metro, cafés and bars - and quiet at night. Jerrys was a great host and give or take a few minutes was on time for check-in/check.out :) We can really recommend Jerrys place.”

“Everything was perfect. It is quiet, clean, and Jerry does everything and more to make you feel at home.”
A French couple from Paris
“We had a great time at Jerry's place. He is a great host and is apartment is very convenient for two people and located in a very quiet and interesting part of NY, close to Manhattan by subway. Having stayed in many parts of the city I really appreciated the tranquillity and the aera. It has a flavour on his own. I was happy also not too have to climb stairs with our suicases. Having read the other reviews I can only say that I agree about what they say about Jerry. He his a attentionned host. I definetly recommend to stay at his place. Everything was excellent and we loved it.”

“Jerry's place is great! It's perfect for those that want a clean, comfortable respite from the craziness of Manhattan. Location is a lovely neighborhood as well, meaning you could stay in Brooklyn during your trip and still have a wonderful time. Jerry is also a fantastic host - he even found me some gluten-free bread! I highly recommend this apartment for any couple that wants the living-in-NYC feeling but without the constant hustle and bustle outside.”
Teacher and hubby from Michigan
“Jerry was a wonderful host. I appreciated his effort to be flexible with both our arrival and chack out times. The food he left us for breakffast was very tasty well thought out. He was very considerate and asked us our breafast food and drink preferences in advance. His apartment is in a beautiful and safe part of Brooklyn and just a short walk to the subway. His apartment was clean and everything was in order for our arrival. We had a great stay.”
Ex-New Yorker living in San Francisco
“Jerry is a congenial host, who went out of his way to ask about my wishes for specific breakfast foods, soaps, etc. The apartment is well located in a safe neighborhood, with an easy walk to the subway, shops and restaurants. It is clean and furnished in a tasteful, eclectic style, with minimal clutter. The price makes it a very reasonable deal for this area. It is on the small side, especially the bedroom and kitchen, but the living room has comfortable seating and a dining table, and plenty of room to move around. It is Jerry's primary living space, so you have to be comfortable with someone else's possessions. Jerry said he would be glad to make additional closet and drawer space available for longer stays. Seemed like a very good deal to me.”
NJ resident with visiting bf from California
“The apartment was lovely and a perfect base for a NY stay. It was comfortable and perfect for 2 people with a good amount of space - especially for a NY apartment. Subways are very convenient and the charming neighborhood is fun to explore should you take a break from venturing into the city, complete with plenty of wonderful restaurants and small boutiques.”
Couple from Maryland
“Great apartment, great renter - VERY thorough and accommodating with extreme attention to detail (even asked what kind of roast coffee we wanted!). Beautiful, clean, well-decorated apartment in a great location. Would love to stay again!”
