Broadwater Cottage has great views, is close to restaurants and shop, pharmacy, beaches, stunning scenery, national parks and the Bruny Island Lighthouse. You’ll love our place because of the water front location, the old world charm, the outdoors space, the birdlife and the peace and quiet.. Our place
is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and small families (with 2 children).
As soon as you walk into our cottage you will feel at home. It is not a large house, but it has a lot of character. We have tried to honour the history of the place, and furnish it in keeping with the 1920s era. It has everything you will need for your stay. In the kitchen we supply tea, coffee, milk, and basic cooking condiments. There is a slow combustion wood heater in the living room and a wall heater. The beds are very comfortable, there is a dining nook, a television and we supply some DVD's. It has everything you need to feel at home and relaxed.
At Broadwater, you have access to the whole cottage, apart from one back room which we use as a storage area. The driveway is a loop around the house and there is plenty of room to park. You can walk down to the waterfront easily from an access track in front of the cottage.

We live close by at another property, just a phone call away. If we are not on the property when you arrive, then you can access the key from the key safe. We like to keep in touch with our guests, and are happy to help out where needed.
When coming to Bruny Island you must be aware of the ferry times and that it takes around 3/4 hour to get to Broadwater after landing on North Bruny. If you are arriving late in the day, it is a good idea to stock up on food before heading to the ferry.
Smoking is allowed on the verandah but not indoors. Please leave the cottage as close as possible to the condition you found it. Before you leave, please wash dirty dishes and put them away. Place all of your rubbish in the appropriately marked bins, (food scraps for the chickens, recycling, burnables and rubbish. Respect our wildlife by driving very slowly at night to avoid killing the many fluffy creatures that may be on the roads. Be bushfire aware, leave your pets at home and above all, relax and enjoy yourselves.
