I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our home. It's a shame you didn't say anything while you were here so that we could have resolved any problems immediately.
I have taken note of your comments about the bedroom being a little dusty.
The kitchen is our family kitchen and is shared by other guests, and I invited you to use whatever you needed, which you did.
Our photos on Airbnb show clearly what is in the loft bedroom, and our profile explains that we are renting out our daughter's bedroom - which does still have some of her belongings in it. Despite that, the room is large and contains a sofa and television as well as a very comfortable bed. The wardrobe and a lot of drawers were empty and you were able to use those during your 5 day stay. For £40 per night in London you would not find a bigger room, especially when you consider that we also offer breakfast.
I'm sorry you felt that I hadn't explained properly what we provide. As I explained when you arrived, we offer cereal, milk, bread/toast, fruit and yogurt as well as tea and coffee and I showed you where all of that was. You asked me for cheese and ham, which we don't usually provide, but which I supplied for you since you had asked.
I'm afraid I don't understand your comment about not knowing what time you could use the common spaces. I explained when you arrived that you could use the kitchen any time, and that the dining room was almost always available - except for the odd occasions when I was teaching in there. I even encouraged you to use the dining room when I found you eating in the kitchen.
I remember you saying that this was the first Airbnb you had stayed in, and that you'd been in 2 hotels before coming here, so perhaps you were expecting our home to be a hotel, which it is not. For example, Airbnb hosts do not always have white towels and white bedding, but our towels and bedding are in good condition and always clean. I think if you want a place with white towels and bedding, and a bedroom that is more like a hotel room, you would probably be happier in a place that is for your exclusive use rather than sharing a home with a host family.
Thanks again for your feedback. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday.
