I live in the house with my daughter (12 yrs))often at her mums) house & our cat kizzie.
You will be made to feel very welcome, from my half Scottish half Yorkshire unfluencesas. two of the most genial places you could hope to find.
you'll find the house atmosphere very easy going, happy to hang out for a cup of tea, or equally happy to leave you to your own devices, it's big enough to not be under each others feet, & stereo in the room.
About me, i'm a Shiatsu therapist (Japanese therapy, simular to Accupuncture),
I play guitar (badly) & interested in lots of the usual things, music, theatre, cooking, gardening, cycling and am happy to give tips & pointer on whatever you need, cycle routes in the area etc...there are maps, guides, up to date theatre brochures.
Feel free send me a message if you have any further questions or requests.
we are a 15 mins train ride from Central station to Paisley Hawkhead station (Paisley Canal train), 10 min walk throught the park to the house The most serviced station is Paisley Gilmore (10 mins ride from Glasgow & super regular....last train 12:15am bikes are well catered for on all trains here, or indeed you could borrow mine!
I cycle to Glasgow, but that may be a bit much for most, fine if you have time to go at a nice steady pace ( 1 hour) as the cycle is fantastic & scenic, passing through 3 parks along the way. There are also 4 train stations all down the route if you didn't want to cycle the whole way.
The park is well equipment, family friendly & designed to appropriately separate the attractions (all of which are free).
(Note, we are IN the park, secluded away at the top, so everything is super close.
