We live full-time in Colorado, but you'll have access to the casita via a lockbox. We also have friends in Taos, who can help you when you're at the casita if needed. I check my messages often, so if you have any questions or issues I'll try to respond quickly.
From the casita, you can walk to art galleries & working studios, the local micro brew pub (Eske's), as well as many excellent restaurants and shops. Be sure to visit the Farmer's Market, which takes place each Saturday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. starting May 12th and ending in late October in the Plaza. By car, visit the Taos Pueblo located just minutes away, or explore Santa Fe, less than 2 hours south. Local outdoor activities include hiking, snowshoeing, road and mountain biking, downhill and cross country skiing, and sledding, snowboarding at Red River Ski Area or Angel Fire Resort, and skiing at Taos Ski Valley (TSV). 'TSV remains one of the few family owned and operated ski resorts in North America'.
- This casita is heated by a gas furnace that can be hot to the touch. Please be careful with small children. The complex is quaint and paved with gravel. Lighting does not activate until you enter the locked gate, where you step on stepped- flagstone. Please bring a flashlight with you if you arrive after dark. Parking is flexible and plentiful.
