Recharge and relax in one of our three cosy glamping pods on our small family farm nestled in the rolling Howgills Fells. Ideally located to visit both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, Howgills Hideaway offers the perfect place to take time out and explore the great outdoors.
Each fully insulated and heated timber pod has a full size double bed and a small double sofa bed sleeping 4 in total. (Bedding is included for the double bed only - extra bedding can be hired if required)
Each pod has its own cute kitchen with sink (cold water only), a 2 ring electric hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We provide all your cutley, crockery, glasses, pans and utensils to cook up a feast which can be enjoyed on either the cosy dining table in the pod or alfresco on the decking table and chairs.
Why not light a fire and toast a few marshmallows (firepits are available to hire - we ask that you only use the firewood we supply )
If you are travelling light, or don't fancy shopping en route, you can order a breakfast basket (for an extra charge)
which we can deliver to your pod.
There is a TV with DVD player and a small selection of games for those occasional rainy days!
Just a short walk from your pod is the timber clad shower and toilet block. There are 2 family bathrooms with shower, toilet and washbasin, and 2 individual toilets.

Either my husband David or myself will be there to welcome you and show you around and are always available to help make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible
The glamping site is fenced, making it safe for your children and dogs, but we are a working farm, so we do ask that both your children and pets are not left unsupervised.
There is a fully enclosed trampoline if the children fancy a bounce and plenty of space to kick a football about or fly a kite!
Howgill is a peaceful place, so we ask that there is no load noise or music that may disturb the neighbours and the wildlife - if you are a party animal - this probably isn't the place for you.
I run my own farm business administration business, providing book-keeping and consultancy services to livestock farmers in Cumbria & Lancashire in addition to helping my husband, David on the family dairy and sheep farm.
We both love welcoming visitors onto the farm to stay in our caravans and have made many friends who return year after year.
