My home is in north Knoxville, close to downtown, where there is an abundance of live music, local restaurants, craft breweries, vintage shops, art galleries and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities in our urban wilderness, and we're only an hour's drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you are just passing through, or Knoxville is your destination, I offer a laid back, comfortable home base from which you can explore Knoxville and east TN.
- You are welcome to use the kitchen, which is well equipped. I ask that you clean up after yourself and wash your own dishes. There is a small refrigerator for your use in the pantry.
- I have a sweet English Lab named BeBe, who will consider hosting your well-behaved and housebroken dog.
- Smoking allowed outdoors only. I have a porch with seating and a bench in the back yard.

I am a native East Tennessean who also enjoys this type of traveling; in homes. I am back as a host after a year hiatus that involved moving to Knoxville and renovating a 1939 cottage. I so enjoyed hosting guests in my home in Clinton, TN, but now you can stay with me in the big city of Knoxville! I am looking forward to hosting my previous guests as well as new folks who are visiting this lovely, fun town. I have welcomed interns, traveling nurses, grad students and post docs working at the Oak Ridge National Lab, but am just as equipped to host vistors who are here for recreation. I am just minutes from downtown and the University of Tennessee, and one block away from the best Mexican grocery and restaurant in town! My home is still an eclectic mix of primitive antique and mid-century modern furnishings, and your bedroom is circa 1940's. Since I moved last year I have been renovating parts of the house, and usually have a project or two that I am working on...I like to stay active and hike, camp, garden, practice meditation and yoga, and spend time with my other artist buddies working at our cooperative studios and gallery. I enjoy attending art events, live music venues, farm to table restaurants, vintage shopping, river and lake swimming, camping, movement, and love watching movies and documentaries. I still have my sweet dog BeBe who sometimes has more time to visit with you than I do, but I will always find time to talk about things to do, or if you like, get to know you better.
