Thanks so much for writing a detailed (Website hidden by Airbnb) helps other guests know more about the place and for us also to address some things that we can.
Yes, the monsoon/green season has the beaches clean and beautiful but the shacks shutdown for all of the green season and come back in October to April end.
However there are several great local options that are available during this green season like Martin's corner, Pentagon, Colva beach eateries, and of course, like you pointed out, the resort next door. You do need to have a vehicle/rent scooters or be ready to pay taxis to get to these close by locations and eateries.
As for the kitchen, do apologize for any inconvenience ... I do believe the microwave was fixed as soon as it could be done after that was notified.
We always clearly state that ours is a comfortable place with the basics in terms of kitchen. We often go there with our family for several days and find the pots and pans-sufficient. The caretaker is happy to buy you some provisions if you tip him.
Since your feedback, we have also updated the directions on our listing, and spoken to the caretaker about the phone number being reachable and cleaning frequency.
We are glad that you enjoyed the unique upsides that our vacation home has to offer like the beach walks, mango and coconut greenery in the community and just the relaxed 'me' time for a relaxed vacation."
