This beautiful conversion of a Grade 2 listed barn is located in a wonderfully peaceful, yet extremely convenient location in the exclusive Restronguet area close to Mylor Bridge and just a short drive to either Falmouth or Truro. The famous Pandora Inn is just a 3/4 mile walk away and there are endless things to do and see nearby. This delightful cottage will have you returning time and time again!
Whim Cottage, beautifully converted by the Owners, offers complete peace and tranquility in a really convenient location and is one of the most comfortable properties available in this part of Cornwall, this lovely cottage offers a real home from home. Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor if stairs are a problem for a guest and one of which can be set up as either a twin or a double. The cottage also has the added benefit of 3 bath and shower rooms. The cottage living space is all open plan, yet is full of character with thick stone walls and a lovely big fireplace with a cosy log burning stove at one end - perfect for those occasional stormy winter#39;s evenings! There is a good enclosed garden too, brilliant if you are bringing your furry friend.
The location is so convenient, just a 15 minute drive from either Falmouth or Truro where you will find a great range of shops and a quite unbelievably good selection of great restaurants to choose from. The famous, historic Pandora Inn is within walking distance and there is a small shingle beach a short walk down the hill from Whim Cottage. Lovely sandy beaches can be found at Gyllingvase or Swanpool. If you fancy some watersports, Mylor Yacht Harbour is a short drive away where you can launch boats, kayaks, windsurfers or paddleboards. The area is big cycling territory and the Owners can provide you with some fabulous routes from the easy going to the strenuous! The Bissoe Cycle Trail is ideal for a trip to the north coast with the family. There are some wonderful walks to be had directly from the cottage including the beautiful creekside and coastal walks to the Pandora Inn, Mylor Bridge and further afield to Flushing and even Falmouth and St Mawes via ferries if you are so inclined!
The cottage is also an great spot to stay if you are visiting those attending Falmouth University as it is just a short distance from the campus.
Ground Floor: Open plan kitchen / living room with wood burner / dining room. Double bedroom with 4#39;6quot; double bed and small en suite shower room with WC.
First Floor: A master double bedroom with 5#39; double bed and en suite shower room and WC. A twin bedroom with zip and link beds which can also be made up as a double room upon request. A family bathroom with over bath shower and WC.
Exterior: A lovely garden which is enclosed. There is a patio terrace and a raised lawn area. A BBQ is provided and the is a set of outside table and chairs with an umbrella. A large garden shed is available to guests to store bicycles or surfboards if required.
Facilities amp; Services
Heating is via under floor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the first floor. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is a double electric oven amp; hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washer / dryer. The sitting room area has a flatscreen TV amp; DVD player, CD / DAB radio with Bluetooth USB. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron amp; ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen amp; towels are included. An initial basket of logs is provided, however, you must provide your own after that. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of pound;35 per dog / per week although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. Dogs need to be restricted to just the kitchen / dining / living room on the ground floor. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is a cot amp; high chair available. Stair gates are also available at the top and bottom of the stairs. There are parking facilities for up to 2 vehicles.

Discounts available for couples staying for 7 nights outside the peak season, using the ground floor only.
You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:
1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.
Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
