The Hut, positioned on the outskirts of Carne Village with spectacular views over Carne and Pendower beaches is a magical location for a family holiday in the middle of the picturesque Roseland peninsula.
The Hut is situated in Carne Village, just west of Nare Head with beautiful views across Gerrans Bay and is only a short walk from Carne Beach which, at low tide, extends a mile west and includes Pendower Beach stretching most of the way to Portscatho. This stunning cliff top property is a 10 minute walk down to the beach and is a short drive away from Veryan with its historic roundhouses and the quaint fishing village of Portloe. The Roseland peninsula is famous for some of the finest stretches of coastline in the country with sandy beaches, secluded bays and majestic promontories - all of which can be viewed from, or walked to, from the Hut!
The Hut is set in a mature, well-tended, garden in a beautiful, quiet, corner of the Roseland. A pine clad rustic feel is matched by a homely interior with a multi fuel stove to warm up those wind swept winter nights. The garden has a sun trap of a patio to the south with wooden garden furniture and we cannot imagine many nicer places for a barbecue, a spot of Al fresco dining or simply chatting over a glass of wine. There is a well equipped kitchen, two good sized bedrooms and a bunk room.
From October 2016 there will be building works at a property approximately 100 metres from The Hut. This should not cause guests any disturbance but please be aware there will be construction vehicles using the lane. The two houses are separated by trees and by another house, and the building works will not be visible from The Hut.
Ground Floor: Enters into kitchen with fully fitted units and a large kitchen table with bench and chairs. Door leads into the spacious living room with multi fuel stove door to the front of the property to small veranda overlooking the garden. Also door leading into a small hall with further doors leading to the shower room with WC and hand basin and also the Utility room with washing machine and second WC. From the living room is a further corridor leading to the bedrooms; Master bedroom has sea views and a 46 double bed. Twin bedroom also has sea views and 2 x 3 beds. The bunk bedroom has views to the rear of the property.
Exterior: Good sized garden with patio area external furniture with views over Gerrans Bay. To the front of the property is adequate space for 2-3 cars. There is a large covered veranda on the western end of the property and a small one to the south.
Heating is via on demand, thermostatically controlled, electric radiators. The kitchen has a range of equipment including an electric oven hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and a combined fridge / freezer. There is a digital TV with freeview in the living room. There is a DVD player. WiFi is available at the property. There is an iron and ironing board. There is an infant cot and high chair available. There is a washing machine in the utility room and a drying line available outside.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is space for 2-3 cars in the drive. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of 25 per dog / per week, although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. Please note that a maximum of 5 adults are permitted at the Hut. The bunk bedroom is small and not suitable for 2 adults.

You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:
1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.
Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
