I live in a newly-renovated apartment in the middle of the city-center.
It's just around the corner of Leidseplein and walking-distance to Museumsquare, Damsquare, 9 streets (Jordaan) and the Foodhallen.
Shops, clubs, restaurants and bars are all nearby, but you can also take a tram (right in front of the house) to other parts of Amsterdam.
The apartment is a typical Amsterdam canal-house. I renovated the place and moved in a couple of months ago, so all appliances and furniture are brand new.
You enter the apartment through a very steep staircase, thats why it probably isn't a great choice for children or elderly people.
On the first floor there is a hallway and a separate toilet/sink. Living room/lounge and open kitchen with all appliances that you need such as oven, microwave, dishwasher etc.
On the second floor is a large bathroom with bathtub, another toilet, sink, and a washing-machine/dryer that you can use.
The bedroom has a very comfortable queen-size bed and the room has a pointed roof and large windows.
There is also a desk where you can work on and a walk-in-closet.
Please let me know if you need any help or advice about the city.
