This property has a terrific blend of old and new styles and the feature open fireplace in the sitting room is one example – a modern rectangular fronted hearth with a section to store logs beside it, nestled beneath an antique portrait on canvas on the mantelpiece. The kitchen is at the back of the house, down a few steps from the living area and is very modern and stylish with a stainless steel oven and hob and island in the centre. Two breakfast bar stools are placed on one side of the island to create a casual and convenient dining area and the double, American style fridge supplies ample space for storing ingredients for those delicious evening meals! Immediately behind the kitchen is a more formal dining area containing a long table to seat eight people (and can be extended further) with modern, Perspex chairs surrounding it - Philippe Starck Ghost chairs to be exact. This leads out into the sunny garden via wide French doors at the back of the room. The outside area of the house is paved with light, grey tiles and has a wooden seating area and built into the wall, an outdoor fire. Downstairs to the basement area the first double room can be found. With windows looking out into a light well, the room manages to keep light and airy. There are fitted wardrobes for storage and a fantastic bathroom next door. The bathroom is huge and has a shower cubicle, W.C and wash basin. Up to the first floor and you will find a second bathroom with bath and shower. Along the hallway is a second double room with lots of space and light and two lovely sash windows.
