Our place is close to downtown in one direction and the beach in the other. We are only a couple of blocks from all amenities including grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants.
You will love our place because of the comfy queen bed and the welcoming, clean, calm space we have created for you.
Your room is equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, cable tv, and dishes. We provide coffee and tea for your stay.
Our place is a LGBT friendly space.
Our space is unique because we offer you a private room that contains all of the basic essentials to provide you with a comfortable stay. James bay is also one of the safest and picturesque neighbourhoods in Victoria. Two blocks away you can enjoy an evening sunset stroll along the breakwater and if your lucky spot a whale, sea otter, bald eagle or a heron.
We ask that you only occupy your room and the living room as the rest of the house is our private space. Thank you for respecting our wish.

We are a working couple so we may not be available to greet you upon your arrival or departure. We are more than happy to answer any questions you have.
We are situated right beside a community hall and the celebrations are very noisy between 8pm-1130pm. These events are mainly held on Friday/Saturday evenings and during the summer months.
We ask you to please leave your outdoor shoes at the front door.
Feel free to come and go as you wish but we ask you to be extremely quiet during the hours of 1000pm and 630am as we are a working couple that require our sleep.
We are grateful to make our home, work, live and love on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen and WSÁNÉC people.
I am from Big River, Saskatchewan and have been living here since 2003. I began my career in Massage Therapy and later studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and now share a thriving acupuncture and massage practice with my Mom.
I grew up in Prince George, BC and moved to Victoria in 2001 with my daughter who was two at the time. I am Cree (Mom) and English (Dad) and interestingly, my Mom’s side of the family is from the same area of Saskatchewan as Rechelle and she has known them since well before we met. It is such a small world! I work in Indigenous education at the local community college and recently finished my MA in Indigenous Communities Counselling Psychology.
Together, we enjoy spending time walking by the water, listening to live music and spending quality time with our families. We are passionate about cooking and eating healthy food. Health and wellness has been a big part of our lives for a number of years now. We strive to live our lives with love and happiness and believe that life is not merely to be alive but to be well. We find it relaxing to end the work day with one of our favourite Netflix series like Homeland, Last Tango in Halifax, Grace & Frankie or a good book.
We like our home to be welcoming, organized, tidy and calm. We see ourselves as caring, honest and down to earth people. We hope you feel like you can approach us if you need anything, have questions or would like information or recommendations for activities or restaurants. We will let you guide the level of interaction you prefer.
