We are sorry that Alejandro had a bad experience.
If he had read the profile and not only looked at the pictures. He would have known that there where no wardrobes available for his clothing. We have a oil with some light perfume to make the apartment smell nice if he disliked it he could have put it away. The furniture is homemade some are upcycled and some are secondhand as we prioritice the environment insted of always buying new furniture. It is not our responsibility to clean the streets outside the door. That is a job for the local authority. They usually keep it nice and tidy. The apartment building is a hundred years old. But the front is renovated 2011. The stairs were renovated just before Alejandros stay and the front doors are getting a do over. The outdoor area has a whole new playground for small kids a hammock and benches for the adults to enjoy a cup of coffee in the sun. It is very common that you have to pick up the key at a place an not get walked to the door. In our describtion and in our messages we told Alejandro that we would be traveling ourselves hince we weren't able to hand him the keys. There are a close to no traffic on the street where the apartment is but there is two very nice parks where people enjoy to sit with their friends and talk, play games and maybe have a drink. There is one big road one block away so it is easy to get to the apartment by car.
The location is often highly rated among our guest. Nørrebro is a very youthfull area with local jewelers, restaurants, the famous Mikkellers brewery and other local and inovative shops.
The refund he is requesting is higher than what he paid to stay at the place. Prices were fair since they were sat at the Airbnb recommendation. He booked it, took the dates away from someone who might have appreciated the apartment. And we spend a lot of time preparing the apartment for Alejandro.
We did our best to secure Alejandro a nice stay in Copenhagen.
We stick to the cancelation policy given by Airbnb and are reacting within their guidens.
I would recommend Alejandro to book a hotel the next time he is traveling since Airbnb might not be the right option for him.
