Grass Creek ranch is located in the now abandoned historic oil town of Grass Creek, Wyoming where oil was discovered in the early 1900's by Ohio oil. There are still remnants of the old downtown area where the general store/post office and school still stand. There was at one time a population of around 3000 people whom were housed by Marathon oil for many years. There are still producing oil wells here near the ranch but the old housing addition has been dozed over many years ago.
Please if at all possible, do not show up after 8:00 at night to be shown around. Arrival after dark would require that you be shown around as it is difficult to see our set up at night. Once you have been shown our set up you are of course welcome to come and go as you please. We get up early at the ranch and 8:00 works best for usThis cabin has sleeping for two guests and two guests is the maximum. We can not put undo burden on the communal areas by allowing more than two guests per cabin. Thank you!
