Judith, thank you so much for your review. Sorry that it got posted to the private instead of public page as you had intended. I've cut and pasted it here as I am very humbled by your comments. You are always welcome "home".
"We had three days to enjoy our old family home (1946-mid 80's) with all the wonderfully preserved architectural details that Ben and Dana have worked so hard to restore. And they found new ones that I had never seen before. They changed the dungeon-like dirt floor cellar into a lovely charming living and play area, and all the cousins who were afraid to go down into the cellar as children couldn't get over it! These cousins and siblings, now middle aged and older who played and grew up in this fun house with secret hiding places and attics were just delighted to see it all again. I spent much time wandering in the rooms and sitting on the front porch, taking in everything, remembering the original floors, the fireplaces and columns, the pineapple newell posts, the fantastic windows and the exact same creaking stairs. Now my children who had not been there since young children, know as adults what I have been telling them about all these years. And my grandchildren the same. We thoroughly enjoyed the utter beauty of the house and also the grounds, where I had been married. I am very grateful for this experience, Ben and Dana, and that you treasure our old home as much as you do."
