I am a friendly, well read, well travelled individual. I believe strongly in building communities, being inclusive, and open minded. I also believe and live a life of faith, personal integrity and accountability. I am busy with raising family, volunteerism and work.
I like gardening, reading, walking my dog. I could not live without my supportive network. We live life openly, honestly, respectfully, gratefully. In each moment.
My travels now are more family friendly destinations ie. various places in California, and family related destinations. In previous years, I have spent months backpacking all over South East Asia and Mexico as well as parts of Central America. I have crisscrossed North America by ground (rail and car), and air more than a dozen times. The Pacific Northwest Coastline (extending down to California), Central Canada, and Eastern Canada as well as the from NY state, New York down thru Washington, DC and Virginia. One of my favorite places to return (with or without the crowds) is Pacific Rim National Park and Tofino on Vancouver Island.
I am new to hosting but I feel that at this time in my life I am fairly grounded in domestic duties that I can be around to offer as much or as little assistance is required. I was born in Vancouver, Canada and lived here most of my life. I am a 3rd generation Chinese Canadian fluent in Cantonese and English. From lack of use, I have slow and painful French and Spanish. Through my involvement with church and the Special Needs community, I have rudimentary and hopefully improving sign language. I am a total foodie and love sharing my thoughts and finds with others of the same mind. I am so lucky to live amongst some of the most varied, tastiest and value minded foods in the city. I tend to be trusting and laid back once trust is established but like all people, I need to pay bills and look out for our family interests.
I hope this helps you to understand me better. "Live each day to the fullest. Be grateful and kind." Happy and safe travels. Ciao.
