I stayed in Mark's place for 7 weeks for work. You can't get a better location and the place is spotless and newly done. Some overviews of the place:
Parking: I had my own spot, gated in w/remote control entry as well as a street parking pass if I or a friend needed it.
Area: For being so close to Santa Monica Blvd, this place was remarkably peaceful. A 24-hr grocery store, Starbucks, dry cleaners, and everything Santa Monica Blvd in Weho has to offer is either across the street or within 1 block. I worked late, so being able to swing by a grocery store late was perfect.
Host: Mark was flexible and friendly, ALWAYS responded quickly to questions by text or Airbnb message, and respects the privacy of his tenants. As he lives just nearby, he even came over on a few minutes' notice to help with a couple things. Perfect host.
Apartment: There are two main rooms divided by a wall. On one side is your kitchen (fully equipped with new appliances, and even a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and basic kitchen needs) and living room area with a large flatscreen TV. You'll also find a stacked washer and dryer built into the kitchen setup. There were two moveable side tables on either side of the couch with reading lamps above, two smaller decorative tables you can move around, and a sideboard under the TV. While there is no dining room table, most anyone can find some kind of solution in the apartment for dinner. I'd say the space accommodates 2-3 people comfortably for a basic dinner.
On the other side of the wall is a very comfortable bed with two reading lights, multiple pillows, comforter, and a second set of sheets for those with longer stays. A small desk with reading lamp makes a very comfortable space to work, and there is plenty of storage space between a full closet and tool-chest-turned-dresser (cool idea). This room also has a large flatscreen TV. The shower is part of this room, plenty of room, good water pressure--super comfortable. There is a small sink next to the shower with a couple small shelves, but at the time I was there not a lot of places to put personal items. The toilet is in a small room just off this. If you're planning on having guests over, just know that the toilet door is more a slatted style closet type door, so less private than a solid door. If you're 1 person, it's clearly not an issue.
Overall, I was happy to take the time to write a longer review because of the quality of my stay. Thank you, Mark for your hospitality and great apartment!
