Lovely bedroom in a well decorated apartment, where you can enjoy of a delightful breeze in a cozy terrace. The apartment is located in Vedado, a quiet and safe neighborhood in Havana, only 10 minutes away from historical downtown.

The garden room in this apartment is lovely and the hosts are as well. We truly enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. There are several restaurants and bars on the way to Parque Lenin. We really liked Plan B (either on Calle 6 or 8, right off of 23). We also enjoyed walking down Paseo to the Malecon around sunset. There is a small grocery store close to the cemetery where you can buy large bottles of water for $.70. Avoid La Pelota though. That's the only restaurant that scammed us during our week in Havana. They lied about the prices on their picture menu.
This is an absolute gem of a place. A beyond charming apartment with a spacious and comfortable (read - A/C is awesome, and it has a California King bed :) )! The hosts cannot be friendlier - all go well out of their way to make you feel welcome and happy. Roberto also works as a taxi driver, so transfer from the airport is a breeze! You MUST get the daily breakfast - it is a bountiful meal of fruit, eggs, and a ham panini that will last you easily until dinner time! The only item of note is location. Situated at Calle 10 @ 23, the apartment is not close to major tourist sites. Walking back from the Hotel National took 45 mins; given the usual temps, going to Old Havana by leg power is really not realistic. The good news is that this is offset by proximity to Calle 23 (a major thoroughfare) - taxis are but 60 secs away from the front door. I cannot recommend this place enough. Price, hospitality, cleanliness, and charm all come together beautifully!
Mari and Roberto were super nice! They made us delicious breakfast for I think $5 each. The living area was spacious and beautiful and included AC, a patio filled with huge plants, a private fridge, and a private bathroom. The house and area was very quiet and nice. Roberto speaks English very well. He is a licensed taxi driver and he drove us to Jibacoa - a beach with amazing snorkeling - for a reasonable price. And also drove us to the airport on our last day for I think $25. It was incredibly convenient to have an English-speaking driver right there for us. He helped arrange a snorkeling tour w/ a local in Jibacoa when we got out there who knew where the good spots were. We were very glad we did this, as the prime snorkeling was a slight swim. Mari doesn't speak English but she was also really nice and generous. We all went to Jibacoa together one morning - it was really fun. Their place is right next to the Christopher Columbus cemetery.
House was fantastic, great bedroom and bath and an amazing terrace where we spent time and ate breakfast, which was also fantastic! Most importantly our hosts Mari and Roberto were simply the best. Always willing to go out of their way to help. We truly feel we have old friends in Cuba now. We will stay here again!
Wow what a great place to stay! clean comfortable what even made it better was the sweet family who helped us with anything we needed. Definitely get the breakfast ,and checkout Marti's artwork. The bedroom ,bathroom and patio were beyond expectations. Will stay there again, nicely located also.
This place was AMAZING. Great art. Comfortable rooms, HUGE Bathroom. A lovely green room with huge windows to relax and read and enjoy a private breakfast. The breakfast offered was great. Full of fruit, eggs, sandwiches, juice and bread for (5 cuc). The place was close to tons of restaraunts and really walkable. Easy access to transit and cabs. Would definitely stay here again!
