We can't adequately describe how peaceful it is to sit on the deck of our little cabin and listen to the wind and birds while watching the sunset over the Smokey Mountains. The Nantahala National Forest is literally our backyard! Come escape to the mountains, leave the heat, the crowds, and the cell phone! Come swim in the Nantahala Lake, use our canoe, rope swing on the Island, hike our trails, and go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River! NOTE: OUR DRIVEWAY REQUIRES 4x4/AWD or HIKE IT!
Seclusion, and the view of a lifetime! Just look at the photos! It's real. There is no CELL Service or INTERNET at the cabin.
Our canoe is available for guests to use at the Nantahala Lake. If you don't have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle you will have to park your car at the covered patio at the bottom of the hill and HIKE up.

There will be no other guests. You're going to be on your own - the way a vacation should be!
I will email you documents to help you with planning your vacation to the area. It will have links to activities, boat rentals, rafting, hiking etc.
No smoking, no pets, MUST have 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle to drive the driveway, otherwise you MUST hike it - NO EXCEPTIONS. It's an extremely steep gravel driveway and your car will NOT make it! If you try it - you'll get stuck, possibly ruin your vehicle, put yourself in danger, and get stuck in the ditch trying to back down.
There is no CELL reception and we do not have internet available at the cabin. That is why I encourage you to PRINT the directions and take them with you.
I will send you several pdf files upon reservation confirmation to include liability release agreement, a guide of area activities, and directions to the cabin.

I'm Active Duty Air Force stationed in Virginia until I can retire and live part time in the Mountains of NC and part time in Alaska! My family has owned the land our NC cabin is on since 1836. Our ancestors are buried in the cemetery of the white church on Little Choga Rd. Hike the trails and enjoy the scenery. You'll see why they settled here. We purchased our property in Alaska in 2012. We hope to build a cabin there soon. In the mean time - it's the PERFECT RV camping spot.
