mid-century beach cottage located in the family-friendly community of Davis Park, Fire Island, New York.
The house accommodates six and is nestled in the trees just steps from the Atlantic Ocean and Great South Bay. A stay here offers the quintessential beach vacation experience.
-The house only accommodates 6 adults. No additional overnight guests allowed.
- The cottage is in a quiet section of Davis Park. It is not a party house. Please be mindful and respectful of neighbors.
- We love animals but, in a new and strange environment, they get anxious and damage the house. And, with the deer and fox roaming outside, excessive barking can disrupt the neighborhood. No pets please.
- The cottage does not have a washer dryer and is somewhat remote so we can not provide bed sheets, towels, linens, etc. Guests bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and hand towels. We do provide pillows, blankets, and comforters for the beds (4 twins, 1 full, 2 small twin kids bunkbeds).
-No smoking inside.
We live in Western New Jersey where we are starting an organic farm. When we are not on the farm, my wife is a designer and I am a science teacher.
Our beach cottage is a family treasure built by my grandparents in the 1950's- one of the first homes built in the area. The beautiful and warm wood interior make it a cozy home to come back to after a day at the beach or bay.
We have grown up spending summers on Fire Island and feel that it is a very special place. In all of our travels, we have yet to find a destination that offers the unique qualities of sun, sand, waves, and ocean breezes found here.
