A cosy country cottage with breathtaking views over Blair Castle and Glen Tilt. Warm your wet boots on an open fire and open a good book.
Suitable for family holidays or as a base camp for walks and mountain bike trails around the Cairngorms, Milton of Kincraigie (Top Milton) is the perfect place to return to after a day in the great outdoors.
A mile or so above Blair Atholl (Glen Fender) and 1½ hours from Edinburgh, it's all the beauty of wild Scotland without being too remote!
It's all about the view. And the open fire. And the fields, fresh air, and peace and quiet.
The cottage is quite basic, but it is very comfy and cosy in winter. There is a small but fully functional kitchen (with a washing machine). There is a dining room and a sitting room, with freeview TV, on the ground floor and two charming bedrooms upstairs. There is a fenced garden and a larger garden (unfenced) with picnic bench.
Guests have access to the cottage and the left hand shed, where they will find wood, coal and an axe. There is nothing in the right hand shed (at the far end of the house) except a freezer that we sometimes keep (colostrum) milk etc. in during lambing season. Guests should not use this shed or any of the farms sheds but please feel free to explore them at your own risk!

My grandfather, John Burns, will be around every now and then to feed his sheep. He may also drop by the cottage to ask if everything is alright and he can be contacted in the village if there is a specific problem or worry. I will be in the village most weekends and contactable by phone, text and email.
Please be mindful of dogs around the sheep and make sure they are secure in the fenced garden or on a lead if walking.
