Super comfortable 800sq ft remodeled apartment that's one short block to Metro Rail and two to DC United's home field. You’ll love the quiet location and the neighborhood. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Central heat/cooling w/thermostat and Washer/Dryer available for guest use.
***Quiet neighborhood with the Anacostia River in our backyard:
DC United home field is located within two blocks, and box office tickets are always available, so an impromptu soccer match is a good option from early March to late October.
Walk two blocks to the closest DC Bikeshare station, and cruise 1.9 miles through historic tree-lined streets to the US Capitol. The same Bikeshare is literally located on the Capitol Riverwalk Trail, which stretches from Kingman Island (home to an awesome summer bluegrass festival), to the Nationals Baseball Stadium.
If you're up for it, walk two blocks to our neighborhood park, of sorts. Congressional Cemetery (yes cemetery) is a well-maintained favorite for dog walkers, leisurely strollers, runners, and history buffs.
If bike rides and cemeteries are too over-the-top, walk three blocks to the Pretzel Bakery, a neighborhood favorite for coffee, hot coco, and what else but freshly baked pretzels, both savory and sweet.
***Equidistant (1.3mi) to three DC hot spots:
There is Barracks Row, which runs the gamut from fast food to Rose's Luxury, the eatery recently dubbed "the country's best new restaurant" by Bon Appetit (prepare to stand in line for that one!)
For more of a festive "nightlife" experience, there's H Street, NE, which has rapidly grown from a small cluster of neighborhood dive bars, to one of DC's most active hangout spots.
Finally, you cant go wrong with the Baseball District, which is home to sports bars, fine dining, our very own Trapeze School, an awesome riverfront park, and of course, Nationals Baseball Stadium.
The apartment is located one short block from the Stadium-Armory stop on the Blue/Orange/Silver Metro Rail line that services most of DC's major tourist attractions, its downtown business district, the airport, and more. That station is also a turnaround hub for several Metro Buses that can get you to every corner of the District.
- This is my home. I live upstairs. Please treat as you would your own. No smoking, drugs, or parties.
- Prior to leaving, I ask guests to please tidy up a bit by putting any trash in waste bins, hanging up towels, and washing any dishes or cooking items.
