O’Connor Castle is ideally situated on Sandpiper Lane, a quiet street a few steps away from Manzanita’s expansive, beautiful beach. We are a short walk to Manzanita’s nine-hole golf course; and the town, with its many shops and restaurants is less than a mile away. Outdoor activities nearby, such as hiking, biking, kayaking and surfing, make Manzanita an ideal place for your next vacation.

Inside the castle you will find a large open space for cooking, dining and relaxing. We stock the kitchen with pantry basics, and you are welcome to use what you need. There are five bedrooms with comfortable beds and new linens, and two bathrooms to share. The deck offers a view of the ocean and another alternative for relaxing and dining. Find yourself with a rainy day here? We have a wood stove to keep you warm! We also have wi-fi, television that can accommodate your Netflix or Amazon viewing, an extensive DVD collection, a Wii console set up in the kids’ room, ping pong, books and games to help you enjoy your stay.

We are very excited to share our home with you, and truly hope you enjoy your visit. O’Connor Castle has been our family home for over 35 years; it is a special place, and we ask you to treat it respectfully as you would your own home.
In reserving this home through Airbnb, you are providing your consent and agreeing to all of the terms and conditions listed below:
Check in: 4:00 pm (if it is possible to accommodate early check in requests, we will do what we can!)
Check out: 11:00 am
Parking: Max: 3 cars. Please park in driveway or on street in front of house
Keys: There is a lockbox located on an outside beam near the front door. You will be provided the code as your arrival nears. Once you get into the house, please return the key to the lockbox for future use. There are two keys provided inside for you in a bowl on the bookshelf near the kitchen. Please return these keys to the bowl at your departure.
Kitchen: We try to keep the kitchen pantry stocked with staples that we use for cooking. You are welcome to use what you need.
Bathrooms: We have stocked the bathrooms with paper products to get you started. We also provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash for your convenience. One more note: Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, the master, with king bed and a full bed room. The bathroom is accessible through the master bedroom. Downstairs, there are three bedrooms: one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and the third is best suited for young people, with two twins and a bunk bed. The second bathroom is also downstairs.
Wifi: is provided and the network and password information are located near the television.
Television: There is a large, flat screen "smart TV" with cable in the living room on which you can also access your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. Downstairs in the kids’ room is a flat screen TV with cable, a Wii console, and a DVD player with an extensive DVD collection. You are welcome to use all of this, but please do so with care and respect so that all can continue to enjoy it.
Wood Stove and Heating: A wood burning stove is available for your use and comfort. If you chose to use the stove, you are responsible for supervising all children and pets near and around the stove as the surface will become hot. There are wall heaters in each room, if you choose to use them, please keep objects and children away from the heating element and turn them off when not in use.
Gas Grill: Available for your use. Please wheel grill outside before use, and bring back into garage when you are finished.
Pets: Absolutely no pets are allowed in the home or on the property without prior approval. If pets are approved, a $30 surcharge per night will be added to the rental cost. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or the beds. Pets must be supervised by guests at all times and may not be left alone in the house unless in a crate. To assure the comfort of all of our guests, pets must be treated for fleas prior to arrival. The guest is responsible for cleaning up all pet refuse. In the event that housekeeping staff does this after you leave, you will be billed $50 which will be taken out of your security deposit.
Children: Not suitable for children under the age of 2. It is the guests’ responsibility to supervise children both inside and outside the home at all times. Please be mindful that the upstairs deck is not fully enclosed and has stairs leading down to the ground.
Garbage: Garbage service is provided. Please place your garbage in the can outside and keep lid secured. Unfortunately, recycling service is NOT provided yet in the city of Manzanita, but we do have bins in the garage to keep your recycling organized until you leave. You are responsible for taking your recycling with you. We encourage you to take it to Cart ‘Em, the recycle center close by, or bring it home with you to recycle there.
Respecting Our Neighbors:
We love our neighbors and respect their need for privacy and quiet. Please observe quiet time after 10:00 pm.
Check Out Procedure:
Please place all used dishes in the dishwasher and start a load of dishes.
Please start a load of towels in the washing machine.
Please strip sheets from used beds and leave the linens on the bed from which they came. Please leave a note if a mattress pad or blanket has become soiled and needs washing as well.
Please check rooms for your personal belongings.
Please turn off all wall heaters, lock all windows and doors, return keys to the bookshelf.

The Guest is responsible for any damage, loss or breakage within the home or on the property above and beyond normal wear and tear, as well as the cost of excess cleaning. Any damage or extra cleaning will be taken from the $200 security deposit.
Payments: All payments are handled through Airbnb. You will receive correspondence from them regarding the payment process.
Cancellations: Please refer to the “strict” Airbnb cancellation policy.
Occupancy: The guests agree to limit the number of occupants to the 10. Should you exceed this number, you may be asked to vacate the home without a refund. Please inform us of any visitors you may be having.
Guests: Must be 25 years of age or older to book a reservation and reservations may not be sublet.
No Parties are permitted.
No smoking in the home or on the property. Evidence of smoking will result in the appropriate charges to pay for deodorizing or cleaning the affected areas.
Summer: 5 night minimum
Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break: 4 night minimum
Holiday weekends: 3 night minimum
Off season: 2 night minimum
