Our house is set in a peaceful location yet only 400m from a village with shops, restaurants and bars. You will have access to a private pool and our large grounds which include a private lake and pétanque pitch. You’ll love the peace and tranquility whilst having easy access to many famous places: Sarlat, Rocamadour, Cahors, Gouffre de Padirac, Grotte de Pech Merle etc. The house is good for couples, families, and furry friends (on request).


Nestled in the heart of the French countryside and yet only a 2 minute walk from the nearest village with shops, restaurants and bars, this is (EMAIL HIDDEN)pletely private, not overlooked and beautifully quiet yet within walking distance to the village. The extensive grounds that include your own lake and woodlad walk make this a magical spot for a holiday.

Your property rental will be exclusive to you and will include usage of a private pool, extensive gardens, a pétanque pitch, woodland walk and private lake. Next to the pool is a summer kitchen with barbeque, perfect for those long summer evenings.

You will share car parking with the owners in a private courtyard.

Our main home is situated on the other side of the interior courtyard. The gîte, gardens, woodland walk and lake are all on the gite side so you will not be overlooked by the owners.

We are also the owners of two small dogs. They will not have access to the gite and will be kept away from guests during your stay.

- We will provide a clean, well maintained holiday property suitable for the number of people named on the booking form. Within the property: Bedding and towels will be clean and freshly laundered. Kitchen utensils will be supplied and in good condition. The property will be well stocked with sufficient crockery, cutlery, glasses for the number of people staying in the property and cooking appliances (dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, toaster) will be in good/working condition. We will ensure that all utilities are connected but we will not be liable to You for any defect or stoppage in the supply of public services, beyond our control. The property will be available for occupation from 4.00pm on the start date of the booking until 10.00am on the final date, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Late check out may be available however this must be requested and confirmed in writing by the owners at the time of booking and charges may apply These times relate to all holidays at La Grange du Lac and will not be altered unless provided in writing by the owners at the time of booking. Housekeeping service of a thorough clean between tenants is included in the Rental price. At any time prior to the commencement of the rental, we will respond to any queries You may have in a timely and professional manner. You will receive, prior to sending your first payment, a timetable of payments, the amounts and the dates by which they should be received. Dogs may be accepted on simple request a written confirmation will be sent. On arrival, dogs will only be accepted with written confirmation.
- You You will pay La Grange du Lac the agreed rental fee as follows: a payment of 30% of the total rental fee is payable upon booking. The booking cannot be considered accepted until this is received by La Grange du Lac. 90 days before the start date of the Rental Period, You will pay La Grange du Lac the balance. Delay in any payment will constitute cancellation by You of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit. While You occupy the property, You will be responsible for maintaining the property, furniture, finishings and equipment in the same state as You find it at the start of the Rental Period and will indemnify La Grange du Lac against any loss or damage caused by Your negligence in excess of the security deposit. You will, without delay, report to the owners, any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in or on the property, and arrangements will be made for repair or replacement as soon as reasonably possible. You will not exceed the maximum occupancy permissible. All occupants must be named on the booking form. The property is not an event venue and large parties (over 10 additional guests including children) are not allowed without our written permission. You will not use our internet connection for any activities illegal under French law, such as downloading copyrighted material, filesharing or torrents, and you will ensure no-one in your party does either. You will keep La Grange du Lac informed of any information about your booking that we should be aware of. You will not act as an agent to a third party with respect to your booking. You will allow maintenance personnel, cleaning staff, the Owners and any representative of the owners, reasonable access to the property for the purposes of repair and maintenance. You will not smoke inside the property, and You will ensure that no one else in your party does either.
- Payment schedule A 30% non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking. Please note that without this payment the booking cannot be confirmed. The final balance of the total holiday cost is due 90 days prior to the start of your holiday at La Grange du Lac. We will make every effort to contact you for payment of the final balance however in the event that the balance is not paid and contact is not forthcoming from You we reserve the right to cancel the booking and the deposit will be forfeited. For bookings made within 90 days of the commencement date, the full cost of the holiday must be paid at the time of booking. The security deposit, is payable 2 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Security Deposit A 700€ refundable security deposit is due 2 weeks prior to the start of of your holiday. It will be refunded within 7 days of your departure as long as no damage has been found. Please note that there is a replacement charge of 10€ for any lost keys. Any damage that amounts to more than this sum will be charged in full to You. How to pay You can pay by bank transfer into our French bank account or via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). Credit cards You can pay by credit card with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) however their fees are quite high. We are hoping to be able to offer credit card payment facilities at a reasonable rate in the near future. Confirmations Upon receipt of the booking and the deposit we will confirm your booking in writing. Please check the details are correct, as you will not be able to make alterations at a later date.
- Insurance Holiday Insurance including cancellation cover is strongly advised. Insurance is NOT included in the price of the booking. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE ADEQUATELY INSURED. General The property is let for holiday purposes only. The number of persons using La Grange du Lac must not exceed that stated at the time of booking. The owners of La Grange du Lac do not accept any responsibility for any accident, damage or loss to the person or property of the ‘Hirer’ or the ‘Group’ during the Hire Period. No additional visitors/non paying guests are to be admitted to the property without the express permission of the owners.
