Thank you for your review, Veronica. Although I respect your opinion, I have to disagree.
Here are the facts:
The assessment from the plumber and the insurance expert showed that during the week of your arrival, a water pipe on the bathroom floor broke and, as a result, water got absorbed from the floor and the closet of the room that was on the same side of the leak. This also resulted in the neighbor's ceiling dripping a day after your departure. Obviously, it was not a long term problem and moreover we both did not notice any leak damage at check-in when I showed you the apartment.
It is a pity you didn't let us know about the problem as soon as you noticed it, since the damage could have been contained and dealt with in time for the next guests, but above all, it would have helped us make your stay more pleasant.
Furthermore, the booking was initially made for 6 people, but we were made aware of the necessity to add a 7th person at check in. Three out of the seven people were children, ages 7-8. During the detailed check of the apartment I noticed that some items from our new furniture and sheets had been damaged and made a claim on the security deposit, as stated in the terms of Airbnb. We agreed on a reduced price for the damages, without the involvement of Airbnb, as a gesture of goodwill and to maintain a good relation with you as a valued customer.
During the half hour check in, I witnessed the children jumping up and down on the beds, all three of them crawling in the portable baby crib and running around the house. I am sorry the word 'very active' that I used to describe their attitude somehow offended you, as it wasn't meant in a derogatory manner or to place blame, but rather as a true reflection of what is overall normal behavior from children in that age range.
It is unfortunate that your stay with us didn't meet your expectations. Our newly renovated apartment has received only star reviews before and after your stay, even by the guest who had to experience the consequences of the leakage. This shows this was an isolated event out of our control and that we are eager to take necessary action to resolve any arising issue and meet guest’s expectations. Although you do not recommend us, we stand by our recommendation with some reservation for you, and wish you happy travels in the future.
