We recently restored this 19th century duplex shotgun house back to its historic charm, with hardwood floors throughout and exposed brick fireplaces in each room. The 14-foot ceilings and antiquated room-to-room layout will make you feel connected to New Orleans' historic roots.
Our yard opens up into an urban farm, which you are welcome to explore.
Beyond the bedroom, we have a comfortable couch in the front living room and a queen air mattress available.
You'll have access to the entire unit, including kitchen and back yard.

We'll either be out of town or staying next door in the other half of the duplex.
There are no hallways, so anyone sleeping in the living room will need to go through the bedroom to access the kitchen and bathroom. This layout is very common in historic New Orleans homes. There are three entrances to the unit, so it's possible to go around outside if your fellow travelers need privacy in the bedroom.

I'm a New Orleans native, but have lived most of my adult life in San Francisco. I'm a designer at a small healthcare startup.
I live with my partner, Tommy. We both love to cook vegetarian and seafood. With friends we enjoy potlucks, camping, and biking. We frequent overnight music festivals and are part of a Burning Man camp. Tommy is a musician so we always have instruments spread throughout our home. We're passionate about using tech for social good and always have several projects going on.
We are often traveling back to San Francisco for work and rent out our entire place while we are gone. We occasionally rent out our living room to help fund ongoing restoration work to our historic home.
