Our cabins are the perfect place to come home to, especially after a long day of driving, hiking or sight seeing. We are 36 miles outside of Moab, and it is well worth the drive to stay with us. Our beautiful mountain property is cozy, quiet and peaceful, a definite contrast to the busy and crowded town of Moab. The mountain views, sunrises and sunsets here are breath taking.
Our place is very cozy, clean and comfortable, with outstanding views of the mountains. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
The space has 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 2 twin beds) each with their own sink and mirror, one bathroom with a shower, a living/kitchen space with a stove, oven, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee pot, and everything you need to cook with, e.g. pots, pans, utensils, bowls, plates, cups, etc..
You will need to bring your own food. The closest restaurants, major grocery stores and gas stations are in Moab and Monticello. There is a very small grocery market with few options in La Sal. They are open 9am-7pm Mon-Sat, closed Sunday.

If you need anything, there are 3 of us that live here on property. You can find Teague, Chris or Angela for anything you need. There is usually at least one of us on property at all times.
We are right next to the beautiful La Sal Mountains. We are a 40-45 minute drive to the National Parks: Arches and Canyonlands, Canyon Rim, Mountain Lakes, a couple hours fromTelluride, Ridgeway and Ouray etc... We are within 2 hrs of all recreational areas in the 4 corner states.
Not only are we a peaceful and cozy sanctuary for our human friends, but we are also a sanctuary and home for special needs animals, such as horses, cats and dogs. Because we are an animal sanctuary we cannot allow outside pets on our property.
We are a non-profit 501c3 rescue. If you are interested, we do accept volunteers for dog walking, feeding and watering horses, cleaning horse stalls and monitering/playing outside with our special needs cat Bryan Love.
Let us know before hand if you are interested in volunteering with us.
- Credit Card will be held for incidentals and overages
- 5 mph speed limit on Sanctuarys grounds
- ATV Trailer parking in designated areas only
- Upon departure, the cabin needs to reflect how you found it upon arrival, minus laundry
- As much as we love pets, we are not able to mix pets with Sanctuary Animals. This is a good place to rent a pet for a day :)
- Volunteering at the animal sanctuary is not required, but if you would like to, it is much appreciated
- All parties greater than 6 people, please contact us for permission and accurate pricing

Hi, I'm Teague! I've lived on this beautiful mountain for 24 years. This is the place of my heart, and I love sharing it with others. I am a Shaman healer. I have been practicing indigenous traditional healing for 25 years.
In 2009 I rescued a horse named Lucky, who had severe leg disabilities. He was my inspiration to start a non-profit animal sanctuary for special needs animals like himself. So, in 2010 I became the founder of Mt. Peale Animal Sanctuary.
Here on this mountain, I and the people who work with me have created a sanctuary for both people and animals. It gives me great pleasure to share this land, my home, with them and with you. I am grateful every day for this work, this mountain, the people and our animal family.
