The "House of the Engineer" comes from the rehabilitation of housing the chief engineer of mines of Las Herrerias, located at the end of the main quartered the village of Puerto de la Laja banks of the Guadiana river, declared of Cultural Interest the Governement of Andalusia in the category of Historical Site. The "House of Engineer" is dividing with another house called "Casa del Horno" and the Chapel, whose religious objects have been restored.
