Dear Annie, thank you for staying with us and your review! Actualy there are 2 seperate sanitary areas. One for women and the other one for men. Each sanitary area has it's own toilet. So there are 2 toilets. Which for the number of guests that stay at one at the campground usualy is enough. The ad says "shared" bathrooms. And we are one of the VERY view camping areas in the DR, that even have sanitary installations.
And yes, it is a little adventure to stay with us :) We are off the beaten track. We are the only tourist installation in the area. Which is what most our guests appreciate so much about a stay with us. Although this brings with it that there are no regular scheduled public transportations etc. So guests who do not have a car, need to take a taxi to the dam and from there they can come over with the "boteconcho" watertaxi. Which is a beautiful ride! For people who stay up at the lodge we offer a free horseride up the hill if they arrive during the day. Even a bigger adventure ;) But it's realy only 10min walking for slow walkers even. Me myself I walk up the hill in less then 5 minutes.
