We are a young family living and working on the island and we're usually here to welcome you and help you with anything you need to know about your stay. If we're away, we'll let you how/when to check in.
However, we are a busy family and won't be able make daily visits to the house or be able to provide you with everything at a minutes notice, but we'll do our best to make your stay as lovely as possible!
Lismore is only a 45 min drive from Fort William & Ben Nevis, 25 min drive from Glencoe & 2.5 hrs from Glasgow. There are easily accessible, hourly ferry connections from Oban & Port Appin with plenty of parking on either side.
The entire house is heated by radiators that are initially heated up by the fire (coal and wood). This sounds more complicated than it is: We provide wood, coal, fire lighters and detailed instructions for you to start the fire. It is warm, easy to fire up and very cosy in the evenings. There are also electrical heaters, a new electric blanket and extra duvets available at the house for those that do not fancy lighting a fire.. but let's face it, who wouldn't?
We've got a personal house manual for you available upon arrival, but please read the information on this page as well before you agree to the booking. Otherwise it's the usual.. please leave the house as you found it upon arrival. Leave dirty towels and linen in the utility room (not on the floor please) and do the dishes before you leave. Please treat our home, neighbours and the island with respect.. and enjoy this beautiful part of the world!
