My place is close to the rainforests, views, waterfalls and walks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the studio space in the back yard for creativity or other interests. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, art lovers, artists and business travellers.
While the guests bedroom is small with a comfortable double bed, there is wardrobe to put your luggage and if more space is required you could use another room.
As well, there is a dining room, kitchen and verandah as extra living areas. It is unique in that it is homely and a way of sharing what it is like living in a beautiful rainforest area with an artist.
It is not meant to be a resort style accomodation.
Guest will have access to their own private bedroom and bathroom. Other spaces are shared with the host - kitchen [& appliances], toilet, lounge room, dining room, veranda, studio and back yard.
Guests need to note that we are on tank water supply only, not town water and minimal use when showering would be appreciated.
There are no places to buy food in Springbrook after 4.30pm. Restaurants and cafes are open only during the day.
My kitchen could be used for cooking meals but you need to bring your own food and do the cooking.
- No alcohol
I like my guests to let me know when they are arriving so that I can be present and welcoming to settle them in. If wanted, I could give guests information about Springbrook, which I have on hand. I am a friendly host and like guests to feel comfortable and welcomed.
•I really enjoy being with people, listening and sharing.
•I love my family and friends and where I live.
•I am an artist and enjoy companioning and drawing people's portraits as well as expressive visual arts depending on what stage I am going through or what others would like for themselves.
•I am a creative arts therapist and spiritual director enjoying creative arts therapy for myself and with others as well as creative arts and spiritual activities.
•I have travelled over the years to Great Britain, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaya, South Korea, some of America and around Australia. When I travel, I like to get to know the people, their ways and culture of the place by staying for a while. I have mainly used a mobile home, stayed at cabins and resorts. I have only one B & B experience, which I will need to do more of as it would suit me.
•I am studying again at present so the books I am reading relate to spiritual direction and creative arts.
•I love watching movies, usually English drama and mystery
•I love visiting all art galleries
•I enjoy all kinds of music particularly ones to dance to or sing along with.
•I like eating the occasional chocolate and other sweets but I mostly eat healthy foods and walk daily in the rainforest. I am open to mutually sharing tasty health hints and environmental appreciation.
As a host, I am friendly and do my part in insuring that my guests stay is enjoyable and comfortable. I enjoy being with my guests, getting to know them or letting them have time on their own without my presence. I am guided by what they want mostly.
I am open to guests wanting to know more about my creative arts profession as well as engage in any of these activity with me that may interest them. I have an art studio that guests may ask to use either with me or on their own creative project. It is perfectly okay for guests to not be interested in this too.
My life motto is "Gratitude"
