Located on the second floor of an 1860s gem with charming features such as a spacious bedroom, high ceilings, tall windows, wood floors, and a clawfoot tub. It is a beautiful and comfortable space, but an old house with cracked walls (a result of many years of settling and then recent structural work as we begin to update the entire building). Despite these cosmetic imperfections, it is still a bright and lovely space in a grand house.
The apartment has a large bedroom (no door) that is connected to the living/dining room via a closet-sized kitchen (literally, it was built into a closet). Though small, the kitchen provides all you need to prepare a simple meal (stove/oven, sink, fridge, etc.).

We live in the apartment across the hall and will be available throughout your stay.
An area of the building (opposite side and down one floor) is currently being renovated. There will be construction noise weekdays from about 8 am to 4 pm. We have reduced the nightly rate during the week to compensate those choosing to stay with us during weekdays. Weekends are quiet.
I love almost anything related to food and travel. From Central America to Europe and Africa, I've enjoyed all kinds of tasty treats, seen beautiful and interesting sites, and met wonderful people.
Sometimes it's great to be a tourist and bounce around seeing as much as I possibly can and other times it's wonderful to stay put and really get to know a place.
I really enjoy staying in others' homes while traveling as it allows for a more relaxed and intimate way of visiting new places. Whether I'm a house guest or renting, I'm quiet, respectful, and appreciative of the opportunity to be welcomed into someone's home.
