I had a great stay in Giuseppe's studio! It's a decent size for a Parisian studio, and located in an incredible part of Paris (probably my favorite)! The best part is definitely the location for so many reasons. It's very central, and walking distance from many Parisian attractions, including tourist attractions but also popular and inexpensive spots frequented by locals! Republique, the Centre Pompidou (very popular modern art museum), Les Halles (great for shopping!), and the heart of the Marais are all less than a 10 minute walking distance from the flat. There are also many nice bars in the area, as well as affordable Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants. The metro station closest to the studio is Arts et Metiers (Line 3 + 11) but there are also many other metro stations close by (Line 4, 5, 8, 9, and more) so it is very easy to go almost anywhere in Paris. The area is also very safe and pretty young and diverse for a prestigious parisian quartier. I liked that the area was less touristy than many other parts of the Marais, but not far from main tourist attractions. The best part about the location though, is that it is simply just a beautiful area.
The flat is pretty nice. For the most part it is generally quiet, but not isolated or secluded. It is very luminous and although there is no air conditioning, it doesn't get too hot during summer.
I never met Giuseppe as he was travelling, but two of his very nice friends were in the area to help me move in/move out, and help me with any difficulties I had during my stay.
All in all I would definitely recommend this studio. I stayed here alone for one month and it really made my experience in Paris. I always felt very safe in this neighborhood and flat, and I feel very fortunate that I got to know this part of Paris so well.
