Le Pont Vert, Pays Cathare is conveniently situated in a quiet, friendly hamlet just off the main route South into the mountains. Airy double room with comfortable king size bed and garden views to the front of the house. Continental breakfast, of local, often organic, produce is included, and can be served inside or outside. Not far to lively traditional villages with shops, cafés, markets, activities, historic sites and arts.
I have worked with the antique and vintage charm of the house in terms of decor and furnishings. It is a relaxed space, informal, and a bit arty. I have a large garden of trees and natural meadow, full of birdsong, wild flowers and butterflies. However, please note that my land is not safe for younger children, there are some steep drops and some unfenced areas of water.
Guests have access to a sitting /dining room as well as to their room. The bathroom is shared between the two guest rooms only. Guests are welcome to sit outside too, in sun or shade. I provide in room tea and coffee making supplies. I can also put in a laptop friendly table and chair, if requested. I have a washing machine, drier, fridge, TV (French with some news channels in English), DVD player, video player, CD player, radio, games, books and binoculars that may all be used after consultation with me.

I have learnt a fair bit about the area, which of course, I'm happy to share. I can help with suggesting and booking activities, journeys, restaurants etc. I am happy to make myself available for enquiries and help, but otherwise I will respect your peace and your privacy.
I do have wifi here which is perfectly adequate for checking emails etc. But, this being the countryside, it is fairly weak, so I'm sorry to say that it is not up to streaming movies etc. However, I hope an internet break might suit some guests very well - a chance to de-connect and relax.
Hi, I'm Helen
I love living in this beautiful corner of the world and I'm keen to share it. I have 3 grown up children, who mainly live elsewhere. I love travel, particularly to places where I can walk, appreciate the beauty of nature, explore historical sites, experience some of the local arts and culture. I speak some French. I look forward to welcoming you to my home and helping you to enjoy your stay.
