Me and two friends had the pleasure of staying at Gabi's place the night before we were attending an event in Köln, after staying a few days in Berlin. Every hotel/hostel was booked and/or extremely expensive because of an event in Köln, so we just booked Gabi's place hoping that it would be okay, as there were no reviews/ratings for the apartment yet.
From Köln Hbf, it's a 5-minute train ride to Köln Ehrenfeld and then a 10 minute walk to the apartment. Gabi greeted us upon arrival, showed us around in the apartment and made us some coffee, which was lovely. To our surprise, the apartment was really airy and there was a lot of light coming in. Everything seemed really clean, except for a few cat hairs here and there, which was no problem for us.
We were allowed to sit in the garden behind the house, which was awesome. Gabi's a cook, grows a lot of stuff herself and tends to her garden really well. For me, it was a place of serenity, a place to come to myself and relax in the evening with a cup of coffee with my friends. For me, it was one of the biggest surprises of our trip to Berlin and Köln.
Gabi is a lovely person and we'd love to stay here in the future when we're in Köln again. I can 100% wholeheartedly recommend you book this apartment, you won't be disappointed :)
