I know you will enjoy my private guest house with a comfy queen bed, its own kitchen and gated patio. Corta St. Casita is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. It is steps away from the Ojai Valley Bike trail, 2.6 miles from down town Ojai, and a 15 min car ride to Ventura beaches. We also provide an organic coffee and tea station for you to enjoy. The casita is connected to our house by a large carport and is very private with no shared walls.
Everything you see in the photos is private to the casita and not shared. There is a TV with Netflix and Roku but no cable. I have equipped the kitchen to cook and enjoy a meal inside or on the patio. You will also find an organic coffee and tea station in the room. The casita is on an acre lot and connected to my house by a large carport with no shared walls. Although Sandy, our dog, lives next door the casita is a pet free zone for those with allergies.
Down a long driveway you will find the onsite parking spot in front of the casita gate. Through the gate is a private patio and the entrance to the casita. My house will be to the left of the carport. Please do not hesitate to knock on the door or text if you have any questions, otherwise we give you your privacy.

I love meeting new people and am usually available to meet and greet. My family understands their are different kinds of needs when on a trip and we give you space and privacy or interaction depending on your interest and our availability.
Looking forward to your stay.
Also Ojai is in a stage 3 drought and we have let the property lawns go. We are keeping trees and shrubs alive but the area is pretty brown. Luckily we live among many beautiful trees. The casita patio is landscaped, as you see in the pictures, with lovely drought tolerant plants.
- Long driveway, please park directly in front of Casita gate. One parking spot only
- Absolutely no smoking on the property.
- Please tidy up the place and do your own dishes. Used towels can be left on the hooks in the bathroom. You do not need to make the bed unless you want to for your own use.
My name is Carrie Rubalcava and have lived in Ojai for 35 years, I love this community. My husband Mike and I went to high school together here and have enjoyed raising our family in this town. We have 2 sons, Nicholas 19, who is in college in San Fransisco and Quinten 16, lives at home in Ojai. I love gardening, reading, the outdoors (especially the ocean), many forms of art and cooking. Our whole family loves to create beautiful things and the outdoors (ask us about hiking trails and surf spots). Putting together the Casita was a family group endeavor that we truly enjoyed.
