Nice, clean, light-filled private room in a typical flat in the center of Prague, right near Wenceslas Square. The metro and trams are nearby, but you won't need them as you can walk everywhere!
Hi Everybody! My name is Irenka and I'm Czech from Prague. I’m renting out a private room in my typical Prague flat which is quite near Wenceslas Square (“Václavské náměstí”) in the very center of Prague. To keep things simple I have an easy price for the room which sleeps 2 people in a double bed, and I don't charge a security deposit (I hate them).
The flat has two separate bedrooms (each with doors that close, for privacy) and I rent each bedroom out separately on individual Airbnb listings. The kitchen and bathroom are shared by Airbnb guests.
I have a great location for visiting all the sights of Prague, just one (long) block from Prague's majestic Wenceslas Square. It’s a short walk to the Old Town Square where the famous Astronomical Clock is located, and then a few more minutes to the Josefov (old Jewish Quarter). The Charles Bridge, Mala Strana district and Prague Castle are also within walking distance. My neighborhood is quiet with light traffic on the one-way street. Most of my guests walk everywhere and don’t even bother with public transport!
Your room will be a private bedroom with a door you can close. It sleeps two people in a comfortable double bed; I provide clean bedding. The bedroom has nice parquet flooring and a place for your luggage and to hang clothes. There are large double-glazed windows with plenty of light and air. The furniture and decor are basic IKEA-inspired, not too fancy but nice enough. There’s also a dresser to store your clothes and a desk for your laptop and a couple of chairs.
You’ll share the European-style bathroom + separate WC with my other Airbnb guests. Access to the bathroom + WC are through the hallway. The bathroom has a good shower/tub and there’s plenty of hot water. I provide clean towels.
You’ll have your own keys and you can come and go as you please. There are two flights of steps between the street level and the front door of my flat (no elevator, sorry!). I’ll provide emergency contacts who speak English.
The kitchen is located in the common area between the two bedrooms. It’s small but cute and it has everything you need, including dishes and silverware. There is a microwave oven and kettle for hot water. If you don’t feel like food shopping and cooking – there are plenty of great restaurants of all types and price ranges nearby. There’s a small convenience shop two doors down.
Other stuff: there is a washer you can use. I have a reliable WiFi Internet connection (3 MB). No parking, sorry about that. There is good heat in the winter and in the summer there is plenty of air from the large windows that open (no screens, but there are no bugs); there is no air conditioning (you won’t need it and it’s not common in Prague flats).
Transport: Tram and metro stops are all very close, although most Airbnb guests don’t bother with a transport pass and end up walking everywhere (Prague is really a walking city). The closest metro top is “Mustek” and the closest tram stop is “Václavské náměstí” (both right next to each other). Once you make a booking I will give you details about how to get here from the airport, train station or bus station.
Oh, and if I’m in town I can pick you up at the airport for CZK 650 / $34 / €25, but please let me know your flight details in advance!
I can also offer you very good unofficial city guide (my friend is interested in the architecture and history of our fine city and likes to meet new people at the same time!) for small fee for her time (the deal will be between you two!) However please inform me in advance so I can book her time.
You'll have access to the fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom which has lots of hot water! There's also a smoking area outside where you can sit. No smoking in the flat, please!

I try to meet all my guests personally to welcome them to Prague! If I'm busy I have friends who will meet you, they speak English and can tell you all about how to have a good time in Prague!
I'm not a big "let's have a long list of rules" person, I just ask that you treat my flat as you would your own home! And please, no smoking!

My friends tell me I’m a lot of fun to be around and I love to eat and drink and have a good time. I'm in the public relations business and generally a happy girl! I also love to travel and meet new people and have them come and enjoy Prague, the most beautiful city in the world!
