Cozy 1BR/1BA garden apartment in Bloomingdale/Eckington, a stone's throw to neighborhood restaurants (Red Hen, Boundary Stone, Rustik Tavern, Shaw's Tavern, Pub and the People) and public parks (Metro Branch Trail, Harry Thomas Recreation Center.) You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
This is my home, I only rent it out while I am traveling.
The apartment is located in a historic 3 floor row house in a diverse residential neighborhood. Guest have the entire basement apartment unit to themselves, and have access to a fenced in backyard that is shared with the upstairs tenants.
The bedroom is directly below my upstairs' neighbors kitchen. The upstairs neighbors are the property owners. They are wonderful, considerate neighbors, however it is an old house and you can occasionally hear them walking around upstairs in the morning and evening. If this will bother you, you may want to consider staying somewhere else.

You probably won't meet me face to face, but I am always available by phone, text or email if you have questions or need anything during your stay.
I try my best to be flexible and cater to guests' individual needs during their stay. I cannot accommodate early check in, late check out, or luggage storage, so please make sure that the check in and check out times work with your travel plans prior to making your booking.
Please also note that my apartment is not particularly accessible for those with mobility limitations, as there are stairs that you must climb to access the unit.
- Quiet hours after 11pm
- Backyard is shared with upstairs tenants (landlords)
- Pets must be housebroken and crate trained
About me: I'm a Nashville, Tennessee native who moved to DC to go to grad school and stuck around to work for an Education Tech start up. I love yoga, hiking, road biking, supporting local agriculture, artists, and small businesses, and putzing around in the kitchen. My favorite places to visit have beautiful outdoors, good coffee, farmers markets, and good people. Can't live without: a sense of humor.
