Hello and welcome to our friendly guest house in the heart of Airlie Beach. My name is Dayle and together with my colleague, Kathryn, we will be your hosts. We live here in the beautiful Whitsundays with our playful little kitten called Smithy.
I am from England originally and have been residing in Australia for the past 25 years. Kathryn is from Alabama, USA and has recently found a great fondness for Airlie Beach. In addition to our hosting positions, I am a charter boat skipper with 30 years of maritime experience and with 16 years local experience as a charter boat skipper. I have spent those years developing local knowledge of the Whitsunday Islands National Park and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Kathryn has a great love for exploring the outdoors and is also a passionate yoga instructor, teaching locally in Airlie Beach.
We love our lifestyle here in the Whitsundays and enjoy sharing our home and passion for the area with guests from all around the world.
Our home is a big beautiful seven bedroom house. It is on an elevated plot with stunning sea views, lush green gardens and a sweeping verandah.
We are a five minute walk from the main street of Airlie Beach, the restaurants, bars, shops and supermarket. We are also just ten minutes’ walk from Abell Point Marina and Port of Airlie Marina.
We have five rooms available to Airbnb guests, four double-rooms and one family room that caters for up to four people. We welcome all nationalities, religions and are proud to be gay friendly.
During your stay we provide a free continental breakfast to help you get started in the morning. You are welcome to help yourselves to toast, jams, cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee in our shared kitchenette.
We enjoy offering our guests as much comfort and convenience as we can, from flexible check-in and check-out times whenever possible and the option to leave your car or extra luggage with us while you are on a sailing trip. We also do not charge any extra cleaning fees, it's all included.
We are happy to answer any questions and offer any assistance throughout your stay so please ask and we’ll be happy to help. So, if you are looking to take a boat trip while you are here I can certainly offer some advice. I am more than willing to share my local knowledge and help you find the right tour that suits your personal interests. If you want any information about local yoga or outdoor pursuits (i.e. bush walks), Kathryn is also happy to help. Once you have booked your room with us just send a message or give me a call and I can help you find the boat trip that suits you best.
We look forward to meeting you soon, Dayle and Kathryn.
