Near Skye and easy for Loch Ness, Oban, Inverness and Fort William. Our lovely old Highland cottage is perfect for couples, adventurers, and families. Stay for a few days. There's lots to do: (URL HIDDEN)
For colder months, we have log fires - join in with the sawing and wood chopping if you wish!
Fishing and crab potting is good fun all year round, and gives a glimpse of what lies 'beneath'...
A 150 year old cottage, in the woods, with glimpses across the loch 1/4 mile away, through the trees.
Lounge, kitchen diner, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The immediate area is one of beaches, woodland and wild coast. A real escape from the city.
This is where the Bonnie Prince Charlie fled from and hideouts and caves can be seen locally. We have the best castle in Scotland close by: Castle Tioram
We, (Pete and Jo's) family home is Eagle Cottage, having eco-restored it over the past three years. We are both keen on the outdoors and can organise trips out kayaking and seal watching in the area, climbing local mountains such as Ben Nevis, or else take you identifying wild flowers along the coastal paths in the area. We often go for wonderful walks in the area from rock-pooling missions to white sand beach strolls to rugged moorland hikes with spectacular views out to the islands - we can help with all of that if you'd like to experience them.
We enjoy cooking, and use foraged stuff, fish we catch, local venison and highland beef as well as loads of pulses, spices... and invention. Pete's eldest son, Sam, is a chef in London, so we learn from him when he comes to visit.
Charlie, our little lad, is two years old, and was born at the semi renovated cottage - he'll be pleased to welcome you to the Highlands.
We love: Winter. Wood burning stoves. Whisky. Biodynamic wine. The sea.
