Very nice quiet and private apartment. This is the nicest Airbnb I have stayed in in Costa Rica. It is at the end of the street so no through traffic. It is literally at the base of a small mountain which is also a large park.
The apartment is newer or remodeled and has some original artwork (paintings and sculptures).
Overall good fiber optic WiFi but speed has dropped a few times. Normally about 40 Mbps.
Kitchen has most anything you need with a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove and air fryer.
There is a tower fan in the bedroom and large stand fan in the kitchen but did not need either. Bonus - all the windows have screens (rare in Costa Rica) and the doors have blocks on the bottoms to keep out crawling bugs.
Another bonus is a washing machine. No dryer but a double covered clothes line. There is an outdoor BBQ grill.
Excellent water pressure so the shower works about the best I have used. You actually have a good supply of hot water.
Bedroom has a 32” TV with cable. There is a good sized open wardrobe to hang clothes and other shelves and several drawers - so good storage space.
There is a small living room within the kitchen with a couch. Kitchen has a small breakfast bar with bar stools.
There is a public bus stop about 3 blocks away (you can get to downtown San Jose). Uber and cabs are easy to use. There are several small grocery stores within about 1/2 mile and a Pali and Maxi Pali (larger stores) both about a mile away.
The host’s Brother lives in the house beside the apartment and has been very helpful. The host’s parents live here and are very nice.
There is also a small apartment in front of the Airbnb apartment and the fellow who lives there works nights at the US Embassy but is very quiet.

It is very close to Tobías Bolaños Airport, the Psychiatric Hospital, and the embassies of the USA, Spain, and Japan. Plaza Mayor, located just 7 minutes away, offers a movie theater and dining options.
