Dear Herdev, thank you for your review and for confirming that Casa Epulona is a delightful apartment, with a great location, minutes from Rovinj harbour and that the photos accurately reflect the apartment. Thank you also for confirming that my apartment manager was very helpful during your stay.
I have to confess I am a little surprised at your other comments. In terms of the number of stairs you had to climb with your children, this should have come as no surprise as this is specifically mentioned in the apartment description. Because the apartment is the top of 3 floors of a fine old house, the views from the apartment and the terrace are wonderful. We have welcomed many families with children, some of whom have returned for more than one holiday and who thoroughly enjoyed their stays.
It is clearly stated within the Airbnb ‘additional prices’ section that there is a cash security deposit payable on arrival. This is essential because, thankfully only rarely, guests have caused expensive damage in the apartment.
There is a complete inventory of apartment contents in my Welcome Pack. Of course, after travelling, guests want to start their holiday right away and relax so we do not systematically go around the apartment checking things with them against this inventory. We rarely make a deduction from the security deposit and only in exceptional circumstances. I know you received your deposit back in full, in cash.
I very much regret that your daughter found hairs on her bed and that one of the laundered sheets appeared dirty. This is unacceptable. If you had told my apartment manager at the time, we would, of course, immediately have changed this bed linen for you.
At busy times, space is limited in my apartment manager’s office. As you arrived a number of hours before the stated check-in time, you were allowed to put your luggage in the apartment and my apartment manager assisted you up the stairs with your luggage.
