Depending on our work schedules and your length of stay, we may or may not be available to cook meals with you and socialize. However, we are more than happy to answer your questions and help out in any other way that we can while you stay with us!
There are three important house rules that all guests must follow:
1. Guests are expected to be mindful of their noise level on work-nights (Sunday through Thursday evenings).
2. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves in all common spaces (such as washing any dishes that they use) and not leaving trash behind them. We do not charge a cleaning fee for this reason!
3. Guests must use the side-door entrance of the house, as this is where we keep our lock box and the spare key. Guests must keep the keys in the lock box when not using them. We have had issues with guests losing keys in the past, which is why we have this house rule in place.
I'm a young (late-twenty-something) professional working at Oberlin College and living in Cleveland. In April, 2016 I bought my first home in Cleveland where I live with my boyfriend, Michael, a digital artist, and our three cats. I've also lived in Philadelphia, Boston, and New York (native). I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, bowling, beach volleyball, cooking, gardening, radio podcasts, and going to museums.
I've been a member of AirBnB since spring of 2013 and I have stayed as a guest in many homes across the U.S. for both vacation and for work-related travel. I'm only beginning as a host in spring 2016 because I just bought my first home and have always wanted to be a host!
I have a busy work schedule and am not at home much during weekdays. But Michael works from home. As a guest, we would love to have a meal with you at our home if you are staying more than one night. We would also love to help you find your way around Cleveland-- a city that we've come to know pretty well over the last few years, but that we continue to learn more about all of the time!
