You’ll love my place because of the location, the people, and the neighborhood. It is a one of a kind building with stunning wood work.My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
You have access to the entire apartment, and to the laundry room in the basement.
The network name is: 1926 eero
The building has a tankless hot water system, so the shower may take 3-4 minutes to fully warm up. The temperature can change as the water runs, so be prepared to adjust the cold knob.
The couch pulls into an extra, queen sized bed. First, find the two black straps on the baseboard (underneath the two seat cushions close to the floor) of the couch. A trundle will roll out. Then, using the same straps, pull up and out. The trundle pulls up to be the same height as the seat cushions. There are extra linens, pillows, and a blanket in the living room closet.
The unit is equipped with window units in the living room and bedroom.
The front door of the apartment is the door labeled #2A.
The toilet in this bathroom can be a little finicky. Just be sure to press and hold the lever until it flushes fully.
You’re welcome to use any of the storage space in the bedroom! Please keep in mind, I use the walk in closet for my own storage while I have guests :)
When you check out, just leave your keys on the bar table. You don’t need to lock the door.
Trash goes in the alley outback. The door is behind the main staircase and to the left. If you don't have much, no worries, just leave it bagged in the apartment and the cleaning people will take it out when they come over.
There are washers and dryers in the basement. These machines take quarters.
Getting the Apartment Keys
However you decide to get to the apartment, let me know. Generally, it works best if you email, text, or message when you’re 10-15 minutes out, so we can coordinate the key exchange.
Parking at the Apartment
Street parking in the neighborhood is difficult. Monday to Saturday there’s two-hour metered parking from 8:00 AM until 6:30 PM. On Sunday, parking’s free. The City tickets very aggressively though, so be careful!!
There’s plenty of garage parking in the neighborhood, but it tends to be expensive. Usually, I find the best rate at the Latimer Garage which is at 15th and Latimer (just a couple of blocks from the apartment).
The building intercom/buzzer system doesn’t work consistently, so be sure to bring a front door key whenever you leave the building!!
It can be hard to see these numbers, even during the day. It’s the building with the big brown door. The buildings are all linked by a common back alley, but you need to enter through the big brown door.
The most convenient and reliable way to get these deliveries is to use the Amazon Lockers located in the 7-11 at 20th and Locust. Amazon offers this delivery option at check-out.
no smoking, Enjoy :)
